You’ve built something incredible, your business is established, your offers are dialed in, and you’re ready to show up like the confident, aligned leader you are. That’s where brand photography comes in. When you book with me, it’s not just about pretty pictures. It’s about creating a strategy-driven visual story that positions you as the expert in your field and helps you attract dream clients effortlessly. In this post, I’ll walk you through exactly what to expect when you book a brand photographer (me!) so you can feel fully prepared and excited for the experience.

After you book your session, you’ll receive a personalized welcome email and a digital Brand Photography Welcome Guide, your roadmap to a smooth, confident experience.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need to know about planning your session, including what to expect, what to bring, and how to start thinking strategically about your brand imagery.
This first step is all about setting you up for success. (If you’re a photographer yourself, you might love my guide on what to include in your photographer client welcome guide for inspiration.)
Before we meet, you’ll receive a brand questionnaire, a simple but powerful tool that helps me understand your vision, goals, and audience.
Think of it as your brand therapy session on paper. It gives you space to reflect on your story, your values, and how you want your brand to make people feel.
By the time we hop on our planning call, we’ll already have the foundation to create a cohesive, high-impact photoshoot.

Next, we’ll meet for your brand planning session on Zoom. This is where the fun begins!
Together, we’ll review your questionnaire, map out your brand stories, brainstorm locations, and even dive into wardrobe and prop ideas. I’ll pull visual inspiration from Pinterest to help you see how your brand stories can come to life through color, emotion, and energy.
This is also where I help you bring strategy into your session, so every image we create has a purpose.

About a week or two before your shoot, I’ll send you a custom Brand Photoshoot Map, your ultimate session blueprint.

It outlines what outfits you’ll wear, which locations we’ll use, what props to bring, and the exact shot lists for each setting.
Everything is planned out so your shoot feels effortless. You’ll know exactly what’s coming next, so you can relax and enjoy the process. (This same level of clarity is what helps my coaching clients build systems that scale, see Build a Thriving Brand Photography Business for more on that.)

On shoot day, all that prep pays off. You’ll walk in confident, organized, and ready to shine. We’ll follow the map we created together and capture every story, emotion, and brand detail that makes you unique.
The vibe? High-energy, empowering, and fun. My goal is for you to feel like your best self, because when you do, your audience will feel it too.
And don’t worry if you’re not used to being in front of the camera. I’ll guide you every step of the way, using prompts and poses that help you feel natural and powerful. (Want a sneak peek? Read The Ultimate Brand Photography Posing Guide or Pose Your Portrait Clients Like a Pro.)

After your photoshoot, I’ll begin editing your images to ensure they’re polished, consistent, and aligned with your brand aesthetic.
You’ll receive your gallery within the agreed-upon timeframe, complete with a variety of content you can use across your website, social media, and marketing materials.
This is also a great time to revisit how you’ll use your new photos strategically.
Most of my clients tell me they leave their session feeling like the confident CEO version of themselves.
Because this isn’t just about the photos; it’s about the mindset shift that happens when you finally see yourself as the face of your brand.
You’ll walk away with clarity, authority, and fresh content that helps you show up consistently and magnetically. (If confidence is something you’ve been craving, you’ll love Increasing Client Confidence Starts with Increasing Your Own.)

Over the following months, you’ll notice how much easier it becomes to attract aligned clients, increase visibility, and communicate your brand’s value.
The entrepreneurs I work with often tell me that after their brand shoot, they start raising their prices, booking higher-end clients, and saying no to opportunities that don’t align.
