I’m Meg, the girl behind the lens and your San Diego heart centered brand photographer! I thought I would share a little bit more about myself as a person, mom, photographer and coach. At the end of the day, we are all human and it’s really important to me that we feel connected.

I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO

Yup, that’s right, I am originally a Pacific Northwest girl from Washington state but I have been in San Diego for 10 years. North Park specifically. 

I HAVE HAD 27 JOBS

I’m not joking, I have done everything from being a lifeguard, barista, personal trainer and English teacher. Oh, I also started as a wedding photographer before making you feel Confident AF on Camera as a brand photographer. 

I’M A DIEHARD REBEL⁣⁣

I’ve learned to embrace that I’m a true rebel at heart. I even pierced my own belly button in the shower when I was 14 (hopefully you’re not reading this mom)

TRAVEL IS MY LOVE LANGUAGE⁣⁣

I’ve been to 25 countries & lived abroad in Taiwan! Travel is what sparked my passion for photography. I have a goal of 100 countries! Do you want your brand photos in a different country? Let’s go!

I WAS FAMOUS FOR A DAY

Ok, not really but it felt like it! When I lived in Taiwan and taught English to young children they needed a few of us to dress up as Disney Princesses. This is right when Elsa, from the movie Frozen, was a big deal. As you can imagine, I was a Hollywood celebrity in their eyes! It was so much fun but made me realize that I would not actually like to be in the spotlight.

I’M A MOM !!!⁣⁣

A first time momma! Baby Carter born Dec 5th, 2020, he is the absolute joy and blessing in my life. Isn’t he CUTE!

I’M A WIFE! 

I am lucky to say that I have married my best friend Ryan and we have done some pretty cool stuff together. We’ve trekked in the Himalayan mountains. Done yoga in India. Got married in Mexico. Taught kids English in Taiwan. And Swam with sharks in Belize. It’s true you can meet real love at a bar, we met at Bar West in Pacific Beach.

My husband grew up singing and I wanted to do something special for him. So we performed a duet to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran & Beyoncé! It was scary AF

I HAVEN’T ALWAYS FELT CONFIDENT AF ON CAMERA 

I used to hate getting in front of the camera. Now I love it!! Every time I get a new set of photos I’m proud of, my confidence and inspiration both go wayyyy up!!

SELF DEVELOPMENT JUNKIE

It all started when yoga and meditation changed my life. I went to a 21 day retreat in Bali and that’s what sparked it. Then I added journaling, affirmations, courses, a life coach and gratitude in my daily practice. A few of my favorite course that I would love to share with you are Jenna Kutcher’s Course On Branding, Randi Halaway – Self Love, and Money Map for Creatives by Darcy Benincosa. I have even walked on fire at a Tony Robbins event. 

I HAVE RAN A FULL MARATHON

Not to brag at all but say this because the first one I attempted to run was a big fail. At mile 17, my entire body started cramping and I had to be lifted off the course by the medical team. It made me feel like a complete failure and didn’t think I could ever do it again! At a point later in my life, I decided to try again with better training, dedication and practice. Definitley goes on the list as one of my biggest life accomplishments. Sometimes, you have to get up and try again!

Besides brand photography, I have an online course and a Mastermind for photographers I will be leading over the next 4 months. I LOVE teaching photogs to create their dream biz!!!⁣
